Chairs and Benches

The challenges of chair design are many. Not only the esthetics but also comfort and durability are equal factors in the design process.

Chairs are one of my favorite things to build because of their sculptural qualities but also their inherent design/construction considerations.

Our benches are mostly custom, some with backs, some with carved seats and others by Birgit Josenhans with rocks imbedded into the top to create a "stream".

We build chairs, benches and stools in a variety of woods (and rocks).
